Installation

  1. Select English from the Language menu, and press Enter to continue.
  2. Select Install Ubuntu Server from the installation menu, and press Enter to continue.
  3. Select English as your Preferred Language, and press Enter to continue..
  4. Select English (US) as the Layout and Variant, and then select Done.
  5. Select ens3 eth - and expand the menu. Once the menu is expanded select Edit IPv4. Expand the IPv4 Method menu and select Manual. Set the following fields to their required values.
    1. Subnet: XXX.XXX.XXX.0/24
    2. Address: XXX.XXX.XXX.X
    3. Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.X
    4. Name Servers: XXX.XXX.XXX.X
    5. Search Domains: (blank)
  6. Select Save, and then select Done.
  7. Leave the Proxy Address blank, and select Done.
  8. Leave the Mirror Address as is, and select Done.
  9. Select Use An Entire Disk on the Filesystem setup screen.
  10. Select /dev/vda local disk 8.00G as the disk to install to, and select Done the Continue.
  11. Set the following fields to their required values (refer to the VM Specifications).
    1. Your name: FirstName LastName
    2. Your server’s name: ServerName
    3. Pick a username: UserName
    4. Choose a password: **********
    5. Confirm your password: **********
  12. Select Install OpenSSH server, and leave Import SSH identity as No, and select Done.
  13. Leave all available Snaps blank, and select Done.
  14. After the installation has finished select Reboot.
  15. Once presented with Please remove the installation medium, then press ENTER press the Enter key to reboot the system.
